I am free

[Synopsis: Restrictions & rules- thats the world to some of us! How about breaking every rule? Living every moment at your own terms? This poem is all about the fantasy of living in a world of our own, where you do what you wish to do, living every moment to its fullest!! ]

I am Free

Let it be a smile, innocent and pointless
Let it be with me, this strange happiness
Let me this moment live to its fullness

Let me be by my fate frowned on
a fear be undiscovered and never shown
Let that beauty give light to my dawn!

Let it be born in my heart, flow in my eyes
Unborn dreams take me to heaven and skies
Let me feel them, the truth with the lies

Let life take me to the sun to burn
be it my euphoria, be it I am stubborn
let me embrace it all, never cowardly run

Let success be far from me, its fair
Let lush greenery be my clean air
Shiny precious dew drops be my share

Let my pain be mine, tears be there
my heart turn all emotions crudely bare
Let me for my mind and peace care

Let me stay lost but not a busy bee
Let me live life, as a wild lively spree
Let nothing be predefined, Let me be free

Yet Unfulfilled

[Synopsis: Disappointment is an enigma-both trifle and huge! Our expectations –towards friends and family are essential, but in a manner tests our belief in our own stands. This poem doesn’t complain of a person being left alone but softly takes the blame on oneself for being too emotionally insecure. The first time I try on three- lined verses. Read on.. ]

Yet Unfulfilled

Born under an unlucky star
All wishes dying under desperate despair
Some did come true but half and unfair

Of burning charcoal, remembered only in the cold
My soul keeps the life in it tight and behold
When all my ideals are useless, old and sold

Loneliness, being still in a crowd shows
A face scared of all friendly foes
A heart cut and bent of which only God knows

Of wars being waged many an instance
None a soul bearing an acceptance
Again, my wishes handicapped on a life long sentence

When life finds loneliness a companion better
Till emotions turn less tear and more of water
And just die or shatter or scatter

An unlucky birth born only to serve
All beauty and charm lost none to preserve
Devoid of all laurels it might as well be worth and deserve

Yet my ideals get guarded in a more deeper shell
To this sympathetic world however cheap they sell
Though unfulfilled yet carried thru my grave and beyond till hell

Bondage Waves

[SYNOPSIS: This poem is about man trying to capture the beauty of the living world in his own convenient ways. We, in the process, never think about the fact that- in an attempt to entertain the ever fastidious human mind, we are taking other lives into bondage. Read along as the poem explores the helplessness of a bonded life ]

Bondage Waves

Mighty he stood like a warrior at the colosseum
With less spectators in a tight space of an aquarium

Bitterly thankless for his regular meals
For bondage is a wound which never heals

Bright and beautiful yet driven blind
By man made features closely aligned

Gliding his fins only thru an enclosed water
Cruel fingers taunting, not much of a flatter

He dreamt of an open sea, waves and a mermaid
Can dreams be reality not enough said?

He who seeks to adore him captured and alive
Shall chain beauty and teach innocence less to survive

To breath in a human and tensed air
A life made public to mockery, not really fair

Can artificiality be truely natural?
Forced nature can never be real!

Faith!

[Synopsis: People of all races believe in a God. They approach the Almighty during times they are in trouble. Typically, we believe in "pleasing " the spirits with our rituals. This poem is sarcastic and instinctive. It arises the question of the rituals  "being fair" to all living beings!]

faith!

The deity descended in all her glory
among devotees for the ever untold story.

close to them was a herd, not so devoted,
sacrificing their last breath,transfixed & defeated.

belief demand offerings without reason.
life had never known of such a religion.

hail! the devotee who had the guillotine!
nonetheless life-taking, despite its shape serpentine.

a luckiest first made his way thru the crowd,
the devotees, now, more absorbed in the idol, felt proud.

the animal thought of his familyherd, a last time,
the pang to separate, due, at this holy shrine.

facing the idol, he closed his eyes in submission,
his generations to follow suit, was still his crushing anticipation.

The Moon

[Synopsis: So, here's a thought. What if there is a thing- serene and calm, say the moon and you start to think of it in a totally diferent light? This poem is sarcastic of the way writers and people in general view of the moon as the perfecty calm and romantic diva!! ]

* THE MOON *

Not all day long it happens;
not every night it is in the heavens.

Being due in pieces,changing but not solely vivid;
as that of a doomed face,in dreams sordid!

Of a theme gone voiceless & held hostage;
against darkness like a sage trying to defy age.

Symbolising the total failure of a great essayist;
she grins at the dark earth, as if a sadist.

Neither could it adsorb enough of the sun God;
nor could it make night a bright day abode!

Oh! that cerebral i am, would love to see it perish!
Dreams unrealised, my eternal self sure takes to decease!

Beating (in) me!!

[SYNOPSIS: The heart is so integral to life! And yet it seems like it really makes us do many weird and things not so much called for in life! This poem explores some such instances where I did what my heart told me to, and not what I had to do. It speaks about the mean part of all of our lives!!]

BEATING (IN) ME !!

To he who gave me a heart, O Lord!
To ignore its beat cant Iafford?

So beat not that my heart, as nevertheless you do;
Because nobody cares, however I've to live by you.

But beat! Not that I only survive!
Beat that its painless, I need not strive!

For, to bear a life and a painful heart,
makes me wonder why my life did start.

Its too human to be selfish.
Is it too selfish to be selfish?

I and myself turn demon.
I turn very selfish and poison!

The Wait

[SYNOPSIS: Imagine! There is this person you have been waiting for to return to you, whole day. And you realise he is not coming back; not for today, not tomorow.. but forever. This poem brings out the irony of how we tend to take the life of our fellow living beings for a granted.]

The Wait

A pity few rays left, the sun went dim;
Air in a nest, in an abandoned house, grew grim.

She knew no reasons of his delay;
confused then ever, in silence deadly she lay.

Defeated by a comrade or made to a human stew;
a malignant fate favoured hir return a chances few.

Of the toil it took to build the nest an early spring;
the dream to stay one, now lost, did tears bring.

Never to return was his cursed flight, basic;
Time fragmented, a splint with the nest lay static.

A solitary nest & a tormented heart eyed the abandoned gate.
Setting all earthly possibilities commenced her eternal wait!
